The new 2012 YZ250F features a new Bilateral Beam frame, beefy new front suspension components, revised rear shock internals, and more rigidity in the swing arm axle block area. Engine refinements include a larger 39mm carburetor, optimized CDI, and lighter piston for more power as well as exceptional throttle response in the mid to high speed range.
Key Features:
New optimized engine pumps out more power in the 8,000 to 12,000 rpm range with outstanding throttle response, thanks to new crankshaft webs, new vibration-reducing counterbalancer, new connecting rod, and low-friction piston rings, as well as a new piston, piston pin, and clip assembly that’s over 8% lighter overall than before.
To take full advantage of these advancements, there’s also new CDI mapping and a bigger 39mm carb with freer breathing air cleaner cage. Added to the new frame and suspension refinements, this latest engine gives YZ250F amazing balance – a powerful, light-handling machine with performance that’s accessible to all levels of riders.
The new-for-2012 Bilateral Beam frame has revised rigidity balance for superior cornering performance as well as great stability on rough, high-speed straights. Beefy new front suspension components plus revised rear shock internals and more rigidity in the swingarm axle block area give this new machine a serious handling advantage with light, quick steering.
The styling emphasizes the bike’s lightweight and nimble handling character. The sharp, horizontal lines set the bike apart with a clean, aggressive look.
With a string of World Championships to its credit, the WR250F is one of today’s most respected enduro bikes.
Whether you’re an amateur or pro, serious racer or club rider, this machine will let you discover your true off-road potential.
The winning combination of a free-revving, 4-stroke, DOHC, 5-valve engine and a compact and lightweight aluminium chassis ensures that the WR250F can compete and win on virtually any type of terrain.
Specially developed enduro transmission and suspension give you ultimate control and handling – in the forest its famous agility is second to none, while on the quick sections this gutsy 250 runs hard and fast.
When you’re 100 per cent serious about winning in the dirt, the choice is clear: your future is with Yamaha. That’s because they have been building some of the world’s most successful off-road racing bikes for nearly 40 years.
Yamaha’s WR enduro models offer the most competitive engine and chassis packages, plus class-leading technologies and legendary build quality.
Their off-road success story didn’t just happen by chance. Yamaha’s long list of World and National Championships in motocross and enduro is the result of many years of commitment and devotion by yamaha engineers and factory riders. Indeed, the will to win is an integral part of Yamaha’s DNA.
High-performance engine
The liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, forward-inclined single cylinder, 5-valve, DOHC engine comes with extra-strong torque and class-leading high-rpm power. This is the engine that has delivered a string of World Championships and helps to make the WR250F one of the most respected enduro bikes in the world.
Bilateral Beam frame and compact chassis delivers superb rigidity and balance for unmatched handling
Key development concept behind the 2011 Yamaha YZ250F is excellent cornering and handling performance, to deliver a bike that’s so intuitive it knows what you are thinking, before you do.
You may not find “flickability” in the dictionary, but we measure it by how easily the machine does what the rider wants.
By that definition, what the rider wants is the YZ250F. The Bilateral Beam frame delivers superior cornering speed and stability, while the fuel tank is nestled close to the center of gravity for light handling.
This bike is so intuitive it dives for apexes exactly when you tell it to, and changes lines as quick as you can think of them.
Key Features:
* The Bilateral Beam frame is specific to the 250 and is more compact than the previous generation chassis. This places the rider closer to the front wheel, which delivers superb rigidity balance for unmatched lightweight handling and cornering.
This nimbleness lets the rider get on the gas sooner out of corners and cross the finish line with less fatigue – even on long motos.
* The optimized engine delivers a high level of power in the low-to-midrange, with a great torquey feel, exactly where riders want it. That is due to the straight intake boot that enhances breathing, carburetor that provides excellent throttle response and fuel atomization, and valve train components that reduce inertial mass and boost low end torque.
Exhaust is also enhanced with a D-shaped exhaust port. Ongoing refinement to the suspension and engine produces an amazingly balanced, light-handling machine with performance that’s accessible to all levels of riders.
The Yamaha R1 is the most advanced Open-class production motorcycle.
The 2011 Yamaha R1 represents a paradigm shift in technology, performance and controllability among litre class sport bikes.
Inspired by Yamaha’s M1 MotoGP race bike, this latest generation R1 features a crossplane crankshaft design with an uneven firing order to provide outstanding yet easy to control torque and an exceptionally linear throttle feel never experience before.
But there is far more to the 2011 Yamaha R1 than just a revolutionary engine.
The 2011 R1 … Yamaha’s technical “Tour de Force.”
The R1 has been designed to be the “Ultimate Cornering Master” of the open super sport class and one of the keys to incredible handling lies partly in the chassis but equally as important, in its ability to put useable power to the ground.
This revolutionary cross-plane crank R1 delivers as much power as the rider wants, exactly when the rider wants it … by a simple twist of the right wrist; leaving the rider feeling like they are directly connected to the rear wheel of the revolutionary R1.
The Bark is bad. The bite is badder.
Forget everything you ever knew about the supersport litre class. The all new 2011 Yamaha YZF-R1 is unlike anything before. That’s because it’s the world’s first production motorcycle with a crossplane crankshaft. The result? Incredibly smooth power delivery and outrageous torque for a rush like you’ve never experienced.

Where the pavement ends the adventure begins for the all new 2012 Super Ténéré.
With its heritage going back to the famous Paris to Dakar rally, the Super Ténéré is the perfect machine to experience all facets motorcycling has to offer.
Yamaha's 2010 Super Tenere
Equally adept at handling the open road, tight and twisty canyon roads or the unpaved back roads, there truly isn’t a place in the world where the Super Ténéré doesn’t feel right at home
News Release available to match conditions and the rider’s preference. Also Yamaha’s D-Mode has two settings: “T-mode” for Touring and general riding, giving a softer response; “S-mode” for Sport riding when the rider wants the most performance possible. A two axis primary balancer ensures all the engine vibration is smoothed out for all day riding comfort.
Power is put to the ground through a six speed wide ratio transmission which cruises at highway speeds just as easily as it climbs its way out of a muddy back road. A clean and reliable shaft drive system is used to transfer the power to the hypoid rear gear to ensure everything is as compact as possible.
The Super Ténéré features an all-new steel frame that is designed to reduce rider fatigue during long rides. Using a steel main frame offers the best balance of strength and flexibility, one good at absorbing jolts from uneven road surfaces. The engine is a stressed member of the frame. Locating the crankshaft low and close the foot pegs gives the bike a remarkably light feel, even off road.
The Super Ténéré features a very sophisticated ABS and Unified Brake System (UBS) that work together to help prevent wheel lock during braking. This new system allows the rider to operate front and rear brakes together by simply pulling the front brake lever, especially helpful when riding while standing on the pegs. Applying the rear brake first overrides UBS to provide traditional separate front and rear brake control. Front and rear hydraulic discs are both wave-type for great performance on or off road.
The 2010 Yamaha Raptor 350 features a torquey, powerful and super-durable air-cooled SOHC four-stroke engine, and a smooth-shifting wide ratio six speed transmission with reverse. Plus a 375-pound dry weight for superior overall Sport ATV performance.
