HUSABERG PRESS RELEASE

The 2011 IEWC series’ first round will be held on Saturday, 27th of November in the Palasport Arena in Genoa, Italy.

For 2011 the series will for the first time have an official World Championship status, as the two years before it was considered a “World Cup”.

This, along with the fact that more and more riders are dedicating themselves to competing the whole series, makes it the most exciting so far.

For the Genoa round a total of 42 riders have entered.

Husaberg will have an exceptionally strong rider line-up in the 2011 series with 3 riders aboard the new Husaberg 2-stroke models who are determined to storm the podium.

For the Factory Team Joakim Ljunggren and Xavier Galindo will contest the 2011 IEWC whereat Joakim will be riding a TE 250 and Xavi will be aboard a TE 300.

In last year’s edition of the Genoa round Joakim, then aboard the Husaberg FE 390, scored his first podium finish and went on to finish the series in 3rd position which made him fastest 4-stroke rider and also inofficial “Rookie of the Year”, as it was his first participation in the Indoor Enduro World Cup.

Of course, now 2-stroke mounted, Joakim is determined to further improve on last years results, although he knows that competition will be stronger this year.

In addition to the factory riders Ljunggren and Galindo the 3rd top contender for Husaberg is Graham Jarvis aboard his TE 300 for the Italian based Flite Extreme Husaberg Racing Team. After winning his first two outdoor races on the new machine he i s looking to improve on last year’s indoor results, he was on the podium in Sheffield and finished the series in 4th. For his team Genoa is their home game so he will be determined make it onto the podium.
