Stewart also confirmed he has signed with San Manuael Yamaha Motocross Team for the 2011 season. Bubba has been out from injurying his wrist during the 2010 AMA Supercross season; the 24-year-old Florida native has been out of racing action since he had surgery to repair a broken scaphoid in his right wrist at the end of January.

James “Bubba” Stewart says: “My only goal is to do the best I can. While I haven’t had a lot of time to test and train, I committed to running the last four races of the series, and I feel I need to do this, for myself as a rider, for my team, my sponsors and my fans.”  Stewart’s Team Manager, Larry Brooks, fully supports James desire to race the remainder of the 2010 Motocross Nationals.

Larry Brooks says:“James’ Supercross season was cut short this year and this is a perfect opportunity for him to get back on the track and race. We owe it to him to support him, as much as we do to the sponsors and fans that support our team.”

Following Round 3 of the 2010 Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Anaheim, Calif., Stewart continued to experience severe pain in his wrist from an accident that occurred at Round 2 in Phoenix when Stewart collided with Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Ryan Dungey.

Eventhough he was injured, Stewart finished third in Anaheim II.At the next round in San Francisco, Stewart wasn’t able to race due to the pain in his wrist, which led him to the doctors and surgery.

Stewart, who is on Fuel TVs “Bubba’s World,” last raced the Outdoor MX series in 2008 when he completed a perfect season, winning all 24 motos on the circuit and taking home the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.

For the rest of 2010, Chad Reed no longer appears to be a factor but 450cc rookie Ryan Dungey, who currently holds a 95-point lead, is on a seven-race motocross win streak. The battle is now set for the last four 2010 motocross nationals.

Stewart, who hasn’t raced in almost seven months, will be on the track this Saturday, Aug. 14.

The race in which JS7 will make his return will be aired on NBC at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14.
