The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship returned to the West Coast on Saturday for the Motosport.com Washougal Retro National from Washougal Motocross Park, Round 8 of the 12-race championship. Rockstar/Makita Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., swept the day’s motos to grab his seventh-consecutive 450 Class overall victory. GEICO Powersports Honda’s Trey Canard, of Shawnee, Okla., also swept both 250 Class motos to capture his third-straight win.

The Bubba whip is so high!
After putting on a high-profile showing during Best Whip and Super Moto at X Games 15, AMA Motocross and Supercross champion James Stewart has made the last-minute decision to pull out of X Games 16. Locked into Best Whip, Super X and Speed & Style for 2010, Stewart had the potential to be a triple threat gold medal winner.

#14 Windham
American Honda announces today that Kevin Windham will be added to the Honda Red Bull Racing team in place of Davi Millsaps. Millsaps was injured during the Budds Creek, MD, AMA Motocross race on June 19, and the timing of his return is still to be determined.

Victory at Thunder Valley
Since coming slow out of the gates to kick-off the 2010 season, Dungey and the Rockstar/Makita Suzuki squad have been virtually unstoppable. Dungey’s third place finish in the opening moto at Budds Creek was his first non-moto win in four motos, but he bounced back in the final moto to re-assert himself at the front of the field and take his fifth win in the last six motos. He currently sits 36 points ahead of Chad Reed and doesn’t appear to be slowing down.
