He will also pay thanks to GEICO, the series title sponsor and run their logo on his jersey for the opening round.

“GEICO has backed the EnduroCross series for several years and helped build it into a great championship that allows us to showcase our talent in front of amazing crowds” Blazusiak stated. “So even though I am not a GEICO team rider, I want to thank them for their commitment to EnduroCross by running their logo”.

Then on Sunday, the ninth annual GEICO MiniMotoSX fueled by Monster Energy will also take place inside the Orleans Arena. So this will be a great weekend for motorcycle racing fans to make a trip to Las Vegas.

The GEICO Honda Supercross team has two riders in contention for the 2012 Lites Supercross Championships that will wrap up in Las Vegas on Saturday, May 5th. Justin Barcia has dominated the East Coast series while Eli Tomac has three wins in the West Coast series. Both riders along with Kevin Windham, Justin Bogle and Will Hahn will be attending the opening round of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series that is taking place on Friday night before the Supercross finals in Las Vegas.

Justin Barcia had this to say about attending the Las Vegas EnduroCross opener: “I’m excited to see another EnduroCross race,” Barcia said. “I really want to try it one of these days. I almost did last year but the guys at Honda didn’t want me to get hurt so they talked me out of it. I’m glad to see the GEICO series growing because it’s something different and I know people will like it if they go check it out. It’s crazy with all the obstacles they put out there, and that makes it a lot of fun to watch.”

If you are planning a trip to see the Supercross finals in Las Vegas, then make sure that you come in a day early to catch the GEICO AMA EnduroCross championship opener and X Games Qualifier. If you have never watched one in person, you will be blown away by the obstacles and intense racing action.

EnduroCross: Las Vegas EnduroCross Track Map Revealed!

A diagram cannot do any EnduroCross track justice as the obstacles are flat out gnarly in person, especially when you have to race through them.

But the Track Map for the opening round of the 2012 GEICO AMA EnduroCross, presented by Lucas Oil reveal the first ever Over-Under bridge for an EnduroCross track.

When the world’s top off-road motorcycle racers hit the track inside the Orleans Arena on Friday, May 4th, they will more likely be concerned about the huge boulders, logs, tractor tires and water hole but the new bridge will certainly be a cool addition to the navigate.

“We are always looking for new obstacles to challenge the riders and keep the spectators guessing” stated Mike Karsting, VP of Events at Source Interlink. “So we are looking forward to the Over-Under bridge as well as placing the starting gate outside the Arena, which will leave more room on the floor for the rest of the obstacles.”

The opening round also coincides with both the Monster Energy Supercross finals in Las Vegas and the ninth annual MiniMotoSX on Sunday. So this is a jam packed weekend of motorcycle racing in Las Vegas. Get your tickets now to make sure you have a seat.

Check out the huge pond double and nasty volcanic rock section

Irvine, CA (October 26, 2011) – Boise Idaho hosted the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series, presented by Lucas Oil for the first time and the track featured a very technical pond double jump and the longest rock section ever used.

Very few riders even attempted the double pond section and the rocks proved challenging to even the best riders.

Check out the video to see what the riders had to face.

Las Vegas will host the final round of the EnduroCross series and that event will feature a double main event format.

So the riders that qualify for the main event will race two separate points paying races that also pay a full purse so there will be more than $25,000 paid out to the riders in Las Vegas.

Tickets are available at http://www.orleansarena.com/event-calendar/endurocross and www.EnduroCross.com.

EnduroCross Track for X Games 17 Revealed!

The GEICO EnduroCross team is thrilled about the opportunity to showcase this very exciting sport during X Games 17 at the Staples Center.

Schaefer Tracks, the official EnduroCross track builders, will construct a very technical track that will challenge the best Off Road motorcycle riders in the world.

As is common for an EnduroCross track, it will feature rocks, logs, sand, a pool, tractor tires and loose logs that all contribute to nonstop action and unpredictable racing.

“The X Games fans will be in for a real treat just watching the riders negotiate the obstacles and seeing them race head to head over those obstacles is often mind blowing” stated Eric Peronnard, the creator of EnduroCross. “As the water starts to get spread out onto the logs and rocks, it becomes almost impossible to maintain any consistency” he continued. All of this action will be captured by ESPN cameras for the first time ever as part of the X Games, which will only add to the desire to win for the riders. Make sure you get your tickets or plan to watch the event live on ESPN on Sunday, July 31, 2011.

Tickets for X Games 17 will be available for purchase June 23 at all Ticketmaster locations and the box office at STAPLES Center.
